At Edna High, the students know exactly what is coming Saturday. The adults are certain they do.
Senior English teacher, Laura Sanderson has spent years teaching teenagers. She knows the difference between ordinary hallway nonsense and a secret being kept in plain sight. Then one word begins turning up everywhere: Baja.
The students dodge questions. A message appears on the Pizza Hut sign. Teachers trade scraps of overheard conversation, parents start talking, and calls reach the sheriff’s department. Every new detail is true. Together, they are building solving the mystery of what is coming.
Laura is right in the crossfire of all sides. She teaches the students, her husband Travis is one of the deputies sent to deal with whatever is coming, and their son Frank knows more than he will tell either of them.
Coming This Weekend is a small-town social mystery about rumor, loyalty, and what people create from the pieces they overhear.
